Dr. Katharine Gillanders, B.M.Sc., M.Sc., D.D.S. was born and raised in Owen Sound, Ontario. She received both her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Western University before pursuing her passion for dentistry at the University of Toronto. She graduated with honours and was recognized for her many achievements in academics and clinical dentistry.
Katharine and her husband moved from Ontario to Nanaimo in 2014. She joined the team at Harewood Dental Clinic shortly after her arrival. She loves the sense of community in the office and looks forward to continuing the tradition of family-centered dental care. Her kind, caring, and understanding manner creates a very comfortable environment in which she endeavours to provide each and every patient a positive dental experience.
When not in the office Katharine enjoys spending time fishing and being outdoors with her husband and two sons.
